Our Matcha Process.
Our Supreme Ceremonial-Grade Matcha is made exclusively from first-harvest tea leaves, carefully selected to ensure the highest quality. Ceremonial-grade blend combine leaves from both first and second harvests, while Organic blend may include leaves from different harvests, depending on seasonal quality and raw material availability.
Cultivation Process: Our tea fields are shaded 2–4 weeks prior to harvest, reducing sunlight exposure by up to 90%. This shading enhances the production of chlorophyll and amino acids, resulting in matcha’s signature vibrant green color and naturally sweet flavor.
-
Shading the tea plants for several weeks before harvest.
-
Tea leaves are harvested by local farmers. The leaves are gently dried in ovens.
-
Short transport routes bring the leaves to the tea factory. The fresh leaves are cooled and processed rapidly to prevent fermentation.
-
Leaves are carefully selected, and the leaf flesh is separated. The leaves are ground into matcha using traditional stone mills.
-
Finally, the matcha is stored in a cooled environment to maintain quality.
